Job Purpose
The WHR Chemist Assistant works under supervision of WHR Chemist for smooth WHR Plant Operation. WHR consists of the boilers, cooling water and water treatment need various water analysis and WHR Chemist Assistant responsible in completing day to day operation procedures on site and laboratory.
This job is based on Bahau Cement Plant (Negeri Sembilan)
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise the erection of WTP, cooling tower & IETS during project stage.
- Assist in testing & commissioning during project stage.
- Daily reporting in logbook and log sheet, including chemical consumption, parameter analysis, service report, whichever necessary to maintain the performance of boilers, cooling tower, WTP and IETS
- Ensure the efficient and optimum operations of the WTP and IETS
- Monitor day to day WTP & IETS operation and maintenance
- To works side by side with production team to oversee overall plant operation and make sure daily plant’s KPI are achieved.
Quality Control
- Responsible for sampling, handling, and testing procedures at site and laboratory for water quality analysis on boiler, Cooling Tower, WTP and IETS
- Perform water analysis according to laboratory manual and SOP.
- Record and monitor laboratory equipment, apparatus & environmental conditions according to procedures, specification, and methods.
HSE & Compliance
- Comply with government bodies regulation and standard application such as DOE (Department of Environment) and DOSH (Department of Safety and Health)
- Ensure compliance to Factory & Machinery Act & Environment Quality Act
- Ensure highest regard & practice of plant safety policies & procedure in order to comply with CIMA Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) regulation.
- Ensure to report any near miss / incident for corrective action and future incidents preventions.
Housekeeping
- Ensure housekeeping are done on daily basic and maintain cleanliness of working areas for maximum reliability
Qualifications
- Diploma/certificate in science/chemistry/engineering
- 3 years working experience with water treatment, cooling tower and/or effluent water treatment
- AESP
- Knowledge on safety procedures and practices in hazardous environments
- CIDB Green Card for project stage
- Work under chemist
- Standby to work on weekend & public holiday
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: RM1,600.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
